Did you know?

If you are visiting a country other than the one you were born in, the chances are that country has, like this one does, some sort of barriers to participation in society. In the Tennessee part of theseĀ United States, it’s drivers licenses. If you aren’t a legal resident, you cannot get a Tennessee Drivers License at all. Ain’t going to happen.
So, if you’re here visiting, say from France, for example, what do you do? Easy. You use your French drivers license as a proof you can drive and apply for an International Drivers License. The International Drivers License is, by United Nations agreements, accepted in the whole world as a photo ID. It indicates that you are a holder of a valid drivers license from your home country, fulfilling the right for a person to drive in another country when accompanied by an original and valid driver’s license.
Once you have that International Drivers license you don’t have to worry about being pulled over and arrested for not having a valid license plus you can use it for things like applying for carĀ insurance. And the best thing about it all is that it only takes about 24 hours to process the forms on the Internet.
