In the spirit of  taking a nice leisurely opportunity to do absolutely nothing, especially since it’s a holiday weekend, here’s some inspiration from Otis Redding, Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay. Otis was a driver /valet/singer r Johnny Jenkins and the Pinetoppers when he was “discovered.” (Johnny couldn’t drive.) During some leftover time at a Jenkins recording session at Volt, Otis recorded his first hit with a song he wrote, These Arms of Mine. Otis Redding died three days after recording this song in a plane crash at the ripe old age of 26. He left a wife, two sons and a daughter.
